First James Cameron mentioned the possibility of a fourth Avatar sequel being in the works and that he would be committing to the Avatar franchise for the foreseeable future, now Sigourney Weaver hinted at the possibility that all three sequels will be shot and produced in tandem in a recent interview with Showbiz411 when she mentioned that she would be filming Avatar 2, 3, and 4 after shooting Politcal Animals performing in a new Christopher Duran play.

This bring about a very interesting turn of events on the heels of James Cameron’s revelation a few weeks ago where he first mentioned the possibility of a fourth sequel. It should not go unnoticed that Sigourney Weaver will be likely reprising her role as Dr. Grace Augustine in Avatar 2, 3, and 4. While the details of the extent of her role in the upcoming sequels is still unknown at this time it is still very heartening for fans to see that she will be making a return to the franchise.

While there has been no official confirmation from James Cameron, it certainly is something to peak the imagination.

Fans can only anxiously wait and see what James Cameron has in store.
